I would be interested in hearing reports about the 69grain GSC HV in 243Win on deer? It would appear to penetrate in all circumstances and it is expected to do a respectable 3500fps from a 20" barrel. They're pricey at $1 / bullet, but they look like a great bullet. +-+-+-+-+-+-+ "A well-rounded hunting battery might include: 500 AccRel Nyati, 416 Rigby or 416 Ruger, 375Ruger or 338WM, 308 or 270, 243, 223" -- Conserving creation, hunting the harvest. | ||

I have use several of the lighter GSC bullets in my 6x45 (6mmx223) with excellent results on deer at 2900 to 3000 FPS. All shots were under 200 yards. The only down side is if they run they don't leave the best of blood trails, but mostly its been instant kills. Its best to use the 6mm's in more open country IMO, so you can see them run. GSC are about as good a bullet as I have ever used both on deer size game and on DG and large plains game, elk and bear.
