I bought a case of ammo several years of Remington .257 Wby ammo that has their 122gr Extended Range bullet (really cheap $15/box). It actually shoots pretty well, although I haven't been impressed with the bullets "terminal" effects while hunting. I bought it primarily for the brass. Any idea what the quality of this brass is compared to the normal Weatherby brass thats made by Norma? Thx, Chris

clattin I have a bunch of the Remington brand brass in 7mm Wby cal. I have found it to be quite good brass HOWEVER it is heavier brass than the Norma made Wby cases and as such the internal volume is slightly less. A max load in a Wby case will be over max in the Rem case. When you load the brass I would suggest you start approx 3 grs less powder than you would start with in the Wby case. Same thing holds true if you make 257 Wby cases from 264 win or 7mm Rem brass. Hope this helps.
