Anyone have some pet loads with either of these powders using 50 or 55 grain bullets? Looking for a place to start doing some testing and curious to see what some of you have had success with.

If you can I would include RL-7 in your powder choices.

I use H322 in my 223's. My load is right off the powder cans data using 50gr V Max. This load will shoot under 1/2" for me.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Remington SPS with H&S stock and old Remington
trigger @ 20oz. 21.5gr IMR4198 REM 50gr HPPL
WW Cases and CCI primers. AVG 5 shot group
.5 @ 100 and 2" @ 285Yrds. Started out with original stock avg .8 came down to .6 with new
stock and now .5 or less with new/old trigger.
Found the load touted as a benchrest load from
Warren Page. Note 5 shot not 3 shot. Many groups with 3 or 4 inside .3" . I am pleased.

AA-2230C works for me with 55 Grain Winchesters. It's actually just a tad slower burning than AA-2230, but can be loaded grain for grain with the same data. I shot literally thousands of rounds of this stuff through my 5 Bushmasters, a Mini 14, and a CZ-527 LUX bolt action all with good results. Bill T.
