| I decided to call Savage and ask about the triggers. The marketing chick said it was the standard trigger. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif) Yuck! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) She said "You can have it adjusted by a gunsmith". Yeah, right. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) Looks like the CZ is in my future. Too bad they didn't get it right. A varmint gun with a crappy trigger is just what the shooter are calmoring for. I don't have a problem with it being single shot but at least get a decent trigger design on that puppy. |

| I just left the Savage website. This rifle looks to me a lot like the old model 340 from about 25 years ago, but that wasn't a single shot. The rifle price is certainly right though. However, that new CZ Varmint rifle is a real sweetheart. Best wishes.

| Well if it is a remake of the 340 I would just buy one of there other 223 models with the accutrigger in it and have a fine shooter. |
