VS SF vs VS SFII

I could use a little help. Ive had my eye on the VS SF II for a while, and now have an opportunity to buy a VS SF what is the differece in these to rifle besides the black flutes. How do they shoot, I'm looking at the 22-250 any help with this is appreciated. Thanks

I don't have a VS SFII, but I think it's just a newer version of the VSSF with no significant difference other than cosmetics. I do have a VSSF in 223. It's a tack driver. I consistantly get 5 shot groups about .400" with it have have shot a 5 shot group of .184".

The II has a double palm swell pistol grip and two swivel studs on the forend. Other than that, not much difference. I have some of both and like both, but prefer the earlier version.

I agree 100%. I have the older version VSSF in a 22-250 and love it's accruacy - - .3's to .6's. I've looked at the VSSFII but don't like the cosmetics, could look beyond that, but the stock with the double palm swells kills the deal for me. I guess if it shoots great you shouldn't be particular about the prom dress it comes in but I haven't bought one yet.

The II also has a much brighter shine to the finish.

Thank You thats all I needed was a little push I'm going ahead with the deal. I'm new to this sight and appreciate the info. I have not shot a modern rifle for seventeen years a am very out of touch. Old habits die hard, have to have a new rifle. Thanks again
