What is the heaviest bullet (weight and manufacturer) that could produce accurate loads in CZ 527 Lux 223. I handled this rifle and I like it. However, twist is 1 in 12". ( http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=8 , under "Product specifications" scroll down and pick "223…") so I am bit concern about using bullets heavier than 55 gr. Thanks, Onty.

I've owned 1:12 223s before but didn't handload for them. My only 223 these days is a 1:9 boltgun. Based on what I've read in various LEO journals the Winchester 64 gr Powerpoint works fine in a 1:12 AR15. One of my shooting buddies tried the longer 69 grain Sierra Matchking in a 1:12 bolt gun and was hitting the paper sideways at 25 yards. As another data point older Speer manuals reported satisfactory accuracy with their 70 gr semispitzer when used with a 222 Remington with a 1:14 twist.

Any of the 60 grainers should work just fine. Bob There is room for all of God's creatures....right next to the mashed potatoes. http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/
