Howdy,

I am planning on ordering a 10-12" contenderf barrel for the 17 Ackley Hornet. What twist do I need to stabilize this bullet in a short pistol barrel? I read of another guy with a 17 MachIV 14" contender that keyholes these bullets. Are factory contender barrels 1-12" or 1-10" twist? Thank You for any help.

My 17 Hornet is in a 20inch bullberry barrel 1-10 twist. I shoot 20grn V-Maxes N-120 powder The gun never goes over .400 unless the wind is blowing hard.
