| The Sub-MOA Vanguard is also sold in 257Wby. My brother has one and it lives up to it's name. AD

| I've had many different Weatherbys 3 Mark V's and one Accumark. Weatherby makes a great cartridge but their gun building skills are just ok. They make a pretty gun and I especially like the look of my Accumark 300. Owned 2 257 Mark V. One shot pretty darn good the other was all over the place. Considering what a new Weatherby cost I would go custom. Weatherby builds so much free bore into their guns it's a crap shoot with their guns on how they shoot. |

| Speedkills, I have the Accumark in both 240 and 257 weatherby. Both guns will do one inch at 100 if I do my part. Purchased the 257 accumark used several years ago for approx $850.Its a keeper. Used to load the 257 with H870 but that is no longer made. My favorite load is 100 gr nosler partitions over 73 gr. IMR 7828ssc. Velocity around 3650 fps out of a 26 inch tube. I agree, speed kills. Both the deer and hog below were shot with the aforementioned load at approx. 130 yds. Both were DRT. GWB |

| My Accumark is a 300 with no break and I don't think it's that bad. I wouldn't want to take it pdog shooting but otherwise I don't think it's to bad. The trigger is decent. Depends on what you are used to. Nothing special just ok. |

my MkV Sporter(8lb) kicks like a kar98k .30-06 with a steelbutt. when hunting, you wont notice the recoil. |

Yep. Mine weighs almost 10lbs with a scope. It can become tiring to carry, but it's a joy to aim and shoot.
