Gonna get a 22-250 made on a Winchester action. Does anyone know if I can get a stainless fluted 24 inch feather-weight barrel with 1/12 twist? [Smile]

1. Why do you want a featherwight barrel in a varmint caliber, and why do you want a fluted barrel.

2. You can prob get what you are looking for from Shilen. I don't recommend it, but that is just personal preference. I prefer a 1-9 twist so I can shoot up to 75 grain bullets.

Just want a light-weight and the fluting will look more custom. Also, thinking of a Hogue over-mold stock in the feather-weight style. Plan to shoot bullets up to 55gr, anything larger will be in my 243. [Razz]

Now, if I can just get the action!

I have a shilen 1-12 on my 22-250. It is varmint weight though and on an M77 action. The 1-12 is good up to 62 or maybe 64. I have been shooting the v-max 60g bullets out of it and really like them. If you are shooting some distance then the 60+ bullets have something to offer. If 55 is all you are after then a 1-14 will do just fine.

if you are only going to shoot up to 55 gr. bullets , stay with the 14 twist. i would recommend shilen or lilja for the barrel.

Thanks all. I've about settled on a Fibermark, which I can get cheaper than having one built.
