I have a 25 WSM , I am looking for load ideas. I can not achieve anything better than a 1" group.

My rifle is a M700 with a 26" hart barrel.

thanks

If you already have a load that consistently gives you true 1" groups, I'd be happy with that. Unless you are shooting competition, a true 1" group from a hunting rifle is quite good.

If you are determine to do better than that, maybe let us know the variables that you have already tried. What primers, powders, OAL, etc. have you tried adjusting? Have you bedded the stock? There are a dozen things you could try.

Faster doesn't always mean more accurate, and thats probably about all you'd gain with the Pronghorn.

What twist is your rifle? Have you played around with different weights and such? I know the factory barrels are a bit better suited to the lighter 257 bullets, but not sure what your custom is.

What else is done to the rifle? Bedding, action trueing, lug lapping, tuned trigger, target crown....?

If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

I have a 25WSM also. I am getting .25moa groups using Magpro powder, 110 Accubonds, and CCI BR2 primers. My accuracy was ok using Mag primers, but really tightened up using LR primers. I also got good groups using RL22 powder.

I like blowin' big holes in stuff...
