After all my wineing and moaning about having the only poor shooting CZ 527 American something great happened. The .222 was making nothing but small groups today. It took about a thousand rounds but at last it took shape as a shooter. What is even more interesting it did it with two different bulk FMJs, and one of them was loaded with reclaimed powder from Turk 8mm cartridges. Some 52 gr. Bergers with a charge of 2520 were spectacular. Why I do believe that little CZ has found a permenant home; at least for now. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Roger Let's hope that baby is as agreeable tomorrow as it was today. And gets even better as it grows up. Stock up on those components. Like a lifetime supply. Of course, at our age a "lifetime supply" doesn't have the same meaning it used to have. Ray Arizona Mountains

Roger, Kudos on getting the duce in line... I have that same rifle in a 222 and LOVE it. Funny thing, my benchrest 222 shoots 19.6 grains of IMR 4198 with 50 grain bullets great. But, the 527 hates it. I found the hole grail with RL-7 though, with the same bullet, and I have a perfect Coyote combo. They are so much fun to shoot, low recoil, accurate, and light weight.

Great news! My 527 FireBall is a great shooter as well. Enjoy. By the way, have you got your Accu-trigger problem resolved?

Roger, I thought it was a Stevens 200 in .222 that wasn't shooting for you? Don Nelson Sw. PA.

Perhaps! I received the 12vbss back from Savage today. They replaced theSEAR and the Trigger at no cost . They accepted the responsibility as it should be. I went thru my data and determined that There wasn't more than 900 rounds put throughn that rifle before the trigger wore out. Again that barreled action never was out of the stock before complete failure. The mystery is --- Why only this one rifle? roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!!
