I'm ready to order a 6m/m AI was wondering how light of a bullet a 1-8" twist will shoot well? I plan on shooting the Sierra 107 most of the time, but would like to also be able to shoot some 70-80 grain screemers out of it. Thanks for your time.

I have a 6/06 in a Hart barrel and it seems to shoot the 70gr BK's better than the heavy stuff...and it has the 1:8 barrel.

(It still shoots the heavy stuff well as well)

I find the 75 gr bullets shoot the best in my 240 Gibbs. It has a Ron Smith gain twist barrel, final twist is 1-8. - Dan
