I do a lot of shooting from the bench so always have many Sierra 52gr. HPBTs on hand and simply load up a bunch to go after woodchuck. It's not advertised as a huntijng bullet but does the job nicely. I prefer it and the Berger 52gr. HPs because of the accuracy. Both are good for producing very small groups as well as lots of woodchuck. Best wishes.
I am going to split the difference between VapoDog and Cal Sibley here.
I have started using the 52 grain HP Speer, when the 50 grain TNT became in short supply around here.
I found it just as accurate in as the TNT, just as explosive and also was able to withstand faster velocities than the TNTs. It is also just as accurate in my 22/250s as the 52 and 53 grain Sierra Match bullets.
Plus it is not as trendy as the TNT which means I can get some down at the store when I need some more instead of seeing the old sold out sign, which is also a good feature.
cheers seafire

55gn Hornady SPSX in rifle, 40gn Sierra hp in Striker Pistol. Prairie Dog Explosion!! Plus you can find Hornady seconds cheap at most gun shows here in NE. Can't see any performance difference with seconds either.
if it dosent burn gunpowder, diesel fuel or gasoline, it's of no interest to me!
In jacketed bullet--I find the Winchester bulk packed 55 grainers to work as good as any---and they are cheaper than most.( I use that same bullet in .243 and it has worked well on a bunch of deer). In 22-250 I have used a cast bullet 58 Grain RCBS mold much more than any other bullet--and it does great on jackrabbits.

I use 53gr Sierra MK for factory matches. For Pdog shooting I use the cheapest Rem or Horn bulk bullets in 55gr I can buy. I've found them to be plenty accurate and when you're loading up several hundred for one trip, the savings can buy quite a bit of gas.
