Ok after much deliberation etc and with the help of the fine folks here I opted to have a 264 win mag barrelled off of a vz24 action. and now i am looking for trigger options, the single set trigger intrigues me, am I asking for more problems with more moving parts or if something goes wrong does it just revert back to a standard trigger? If they are as nifty as they sound then what are my options other than the kepplinger, or does anyone else make one? info and experiences with these would be appreciated.

thanks a bunch

A set trigger can be usfull ,
But personaly , I would not want one on a big game rifle.
If I were going to build a custom on a VZ-24,
(I have one and will get around to it eventually) I would go with a Timney.
I usually get the standard, i think its called the sportsman.
I have another timney with a side safty and its fine too, but I would prefer the standard without the safty. You have several choices in safties. The dakota or the gentry are nice 3 position winchester type, but the standars buller or Mk somthing or other I forget the number work fine and cost a lot less.
I will likly use a gentry safty and a timney sportsman trigger...tj3006

Absolutely....great trigger...you'll like it...fully adjustable and fits with no professional smithing required.

Also install a wisner type two position safety (about $100) or a LaPour or Dakota three position safety....the Timney can be ordered with or without a side safety so if you get the trigger without the safety you need one on the shroud somewhere.
