I like the looks of this rife, but know nothing about them. It is a Zastiva m85 mini mauser imported by the FIME group out of Vegas. They want $435 w/o the scope. Supposedly a gunsmith has smoothed the trigger and action. I have been on the look out for a .223 bolt action and the price and beauty of this one are attractive. Thank you for your opinions.

They are fine rifle. Normally accurate. That one has nice wood. J & G has them for a little less. I think they have sights which I wouldn't want. Don't know what he did with the trigger. I've found them OK from the factory As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I have one in 22 Hornet. It's a nice little gun. The finish isn't. It's stain nothing more. I took the time with mine to sand it down, remove the stain, finish the gun with an oil finish, low gloss. I like mine now that I have worked it over. Just be prepared.

I posted back in Nov. 2014 on this action. It was the greatest disappointment of machining all thru out the action. No parts were fitted to properly work feeding a .223 round. I would like others to report what they found on the Serbia made actions. Bought for $400 from a Pawn Shop and I don't believe it was ever fired. 1. extractor was not set correctly and allowed the chamber rim to be burred enough to stop a round 2. bolt sleeve lock was not fitted 3. trigger was set to about 5 lbs 4. NO PARTS AVAILABLE FROM US SUPPLIERS Anyone know a supplier with parts at this time as I need to replace some parts before it is made into a light weight 204 Ruger cal. 5. The only good thing I found was the guide on the bolt to allow for smoother operation of the bolt without binding up

Les Was your a late model Zastava M85 or and older model made for someone else? I have a Daly and have had the MKX mini. I had no issues other than a little smoothing. I have not fired the M85. It is a royal pain as to parts that is for sure. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I have three of the Daly left handed actions. Two of them I've had barreled. The third waits on me to make up my mind on what I want. I like them and have not had any issues with them. I haven't messed around with the later ones. "...I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks." My rifle is just like the one in the picture. The early models mini mauser were much better. The M 85 made in Serbia has the bolt guide groove and is better on feeding.

These have been sold as Interarms Mini Mark X, Charles Daly, Remington 599, and Zastava. The action design is pretty good although the execution is a bit rough. I tossed the trigger on the one I have (a custom built .221 Fireball) and replaced it with a Sako trigger. The little gun shoots like a house afire. "My cold dead hands, etc." However, I've had poor luck with three others I've owned with factory barrels in terms of accuracy. One was a 7.62 and the others were .223. The .223's couldn't be tamed better than about 1.5 to 2" groups, and the 7.62 just shot patterns -- no, I'll take that back -- they were not consistent enough to call "patterns". And that was with every factory and handload I could conjure up including using .308, .310, and .311 bullets.
