Hi, I'm planning to buy a CZ 527 Varmint cal .223 and I wonder if the HS synthetic stock version is worth the overcharge. What is your opinion?

To me yes.
I like that stock design a great deal. They have a flat fore-end that sets a bag well but they are still light enough to carry.
The aluminum block helps for stable bedding (I love CZ's but truth be told their bedding is marginal at best, I re-bed all the wood stocked models. Not so the Kevlar stocked ones.)
I have two that were made when HS Precision was making the stocks for em, not sure if the change over to Belle and Carlson effected anything.

Yes, here's a link.

CZ USA

Even at that I'd think they would contract to the same specs as the HS stocks but not for sure.

Also as you can see on the site and possibly know already the Kevlar stocked CZ has a 1 in 9 twist. Oughtta be good with the heavy bullets but not so sure on varmint 40 grainers and such.
One of mine was a .223 that I bought to convert to a .20 VarTarg and the other is a .204 that I rechambered with a minimum spec zero free-bore custom .204 reamer. What can I say? I'm a small caliber junky wave
Both of them are stellar shooters by the way.

My 1 in 9" Savage shoots 40 - 55 gr V-Max and BTs under 1/2-inch - often 1/4-inch or so. So does my CZ-527 American, but the CZ does not like anything over 55 gr so far. It is not the 1 in 9" version. (I have tried 64 gr Powerpoints and 60 gr Partitions in the CZ and not gotten very good accuracy.)
