I want a load that duplicates the Lapua load at a mere 2565 fps with the 155 grain load. Got one?

I have not tryed any VitaVuori powders listed in my load data.

N165 is listed the same burn rate as R22 on my ADI and VitaVuori charts

Ive tested the lapua mega with R22. 44, 45, 45.5, 46. I got abit of a stiff bolt lift with 46 grs/R22. VV lists 49gr/n165 max at 2478fps. Eeker

So far my 155gr lapua mega load is 45 gr R22.

Thats with lapua or norma brass , ww primer

Thats a nice safe load not pushing pressure/good brass life. My tests with the 160 seirra and the 155 mega were simular. I got extractor marks and loose primer pockets at 47gr R22 with the sierra 160 and 46gr was stiff.

The lapua mega was real accurate and shot just like my 140 gr loads at 100 and 200 yards

I had simular results with the lapua mega but I was also working with the Norma Vulcan bullet at the same time.

The Norma Vulcan in front of 45gr RL 22 was so stinking accurate and consistant I stopped with the load developement with the megas.

I will drag it out again and work on it some more as your thread has renewed my interest.

333okh . Get that rifle finished and test some loads! Big Grin

With the lapua 155 , 45.5gr H4831 orR22 also worked for me, 46 gr I started feelling stiff bolt lift, but im playing it safe not to expand my brass.

Now the Hornaday 160 are interesting bullets. Most of that bullets length is less than .263 diameter and not much surface area hitting the lands. I just got a box of those a few months ago and had tested up to 48gr or h4831 with no pressure signs.

I havent tried the Norma bullets in my 6.5 swede, but have used some norma oryx 232s in my 9.3

155 Mega, 46.0 RE22, Fed 210, Lapua brass.
Will shoot 1/2 - 3/4" groups in my VZ24 Sporter. Haven't chrono'd the load.
