Wondering what you guys have found in factory ammo that has been accurate in your rifles.

I have only tryed Black Hills 55 gr. soft points (red Box) and they did not do very well in this rifle, but I dont know the rifle well yet, so it may not be the ammo.

Although I do reload, I would like to find some good factory ammo.

Many Thanks

HSM 77gr matchkings. 5 touching every time, not just that one group I wish I could do again.
Last box I bought was $24/50.

While not exactly factory. I just tested some ammo for an upcoming PD shoot. My friend and I wanted to find one load that would work for both of us so we could buy in bulk, so we tested several brands in our rifles. He got 50 from Georgia Arms and sent some to me. The first three shots went into two holes so I moved the cross hairs to hit the top of a two inch bull at 100 yds and proceeded to put 7 rounds into one ragged hole. Good enough for me from mass produced ammo. It was their standard load with the 55gr. Hornady V-Max.

I bought 3 cases of Black Hills 50 grain V-Max-red box ammo two years ago. The ammo was marked down. I bought it to shoot up, and salvage the brass. NOT ANY MORE. The ammo has shot groups under one inch at 300 yards out of my Rock River Varminter. So now I strictly use it for ground hog hunting only. Most people can not shoot hand loads this well. Tom.
