This is a bit of a story, so here goes. I started out wanting to build a lightweight 222. I heard about the sako L46 as a nice action. I found a Riihimaki in 222, but the bolt had been stolen. Started a search for a bolt, but as predicted, couldn't find one. I then went ahead and sold a 788 in 222 that I had, and got the sako thrown into the deal for free. I then bought a remington 700 in 222 to start my lightweight 222 project. I had thought about selling the sako as a parts gun. Then I get an email from the nicest guy in the world asking me to call about the sako. Seems that he has a bolt for an L46 in 222 that is missing a spring in the safety. Would I like to have it? I now have my bolt for the sako being shipped to me, free of charge!!! All of this to say that over the years our gun community has been a great bunch of people to deal with! and generous one to boot! Thank you all! Gary

If I were you, I would go and buy a lottery ticket....

Great result.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Congratulations on your find! And a tip of the hat to your generous benfactor.

You'll find the the L46 is head and shoulders above the other actions you were considering. If you can get it up and running you'll have a fantastic basis for your lightweight project.
