Guys I have a new to me 6.5-06. It is a 700 with a 24", # 3 Douglass barrel. I acquired about 400 Swift 130 gr. bullets. I plan to try these for powder experimentation then switch over to a Barnes 130 gr. TSX for hunting (just my personal preference). What powders have worked for you guys with 130 gr. bullets? Thanks

49.0 of RL-22 with Hornady 129 gives 1/2" groups in my 1948 FN. Mild load that runs little over 2800fps. I am very pleased

Forgot to ask. What is your twist? My other Montana action w/1-8 twist loves 140SST'S with 51.6 H4831

I'd go with 52 grains of AA4350. That should work nicely. Normal reminder to work up. IMR 4350 should be about the same. Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson
