What do you guys like? I would like to use H335 behind 55 and 62 gr bullets and N540 behind 69gr match. I was thinking about using Rem 7.5....

I'm not into AR's, but my oldest son is. He uses Winchester primers. They are harder than others.

As a result of having lots of WSRs in stock for my 38 Super race guns, I started using them when the AR came into the family. Have shot many, many rounds with the Winchesters and they work fine.

Krazykarl, I have several AR's and I have always used federal #205 primers with great success.

My Speer book says that H335 requires a magnum primer. You fellas using magnum primers with this powder???

i use almost strictly rem 7 1/2's anymore. No need for magnum primers with H335. My loads are all with H335 50 grain with 27 grains, 55 with 26.3 60 grain with 25 and 68 with 24. with the 68 grain it becomes quite easy to load in the winter and blow primers in the summer though. H335 is not a temperture insensitive powder. I'm not to wild about the results in an AR with 68 grain bullets. The 60-63 grain sierra works best in my Hbar, and the 55 in my J-P, aug, kel tec etc.

If H335 is that temp sensitive, what alternative do you suggest in a powder that is easy to meter?

Use the Rem. 7 1/2. It is harder/thicker than the newer Winchester copper colored primer. I know this firsthand from pierced primers with 69 & 80 gr. match loads.

I've used WSR, CCI#41, and Rem 7 1/2 BRs in my AR-15s with various powders and developed a preference for the Rem 7 1/2 BRs. The chrono doesn't lie and I got lower standard deviations with the Rem. primers in my guns, with the WSR coming in second.
