Antelope are easy to to kill, almost any 100g on up that shoots well in your gun will work. I use the Sierra 117 Game king in my 25-06 to help buck the wind.

I have shot several antelope with my 25-06 in both Wyoming and New Mexico.

I have had equally fine success when using either the 100 grain Nosler Partition or the 115 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip. Both worked just fine.

I've used the 90 grain Sierra HP with excellent success.....

as was said by SWD....pronghorns aren't exactly the most difficult animals to kill.

I've used 87 grain HPTNT's, 100 grain Speer Hot-Cors, 100 grain Ballistic Tips, and 100 grain Speer Hollow Points on pronghorn in a 25-06. All have worked well. They are a light boned animal, and all I really recommend is going with a bullet that opens fairly quickly, as some of the controlled expansion types zip right through and don't do much damage. Antelope can be pretty darned tough, I've seen them go for miles at a dead run after someone shot a leg off. Basically a decent bullet in the right place will do the job. Whatever shoots best in your rifle!

100 grs TSX - the perfect bullet for .25-06 or .257 Wby velocities.

antelope are about as tough as a coyote.
i've seen several killed with 22 caliber rifles.
the biggest thing you have to worry about in wyo is the wind.
15-20 mp daily average.
i use a 120 gr hornady's or sierras for this reason.
maybe a bit too much bullet but they drift less.
and by this time of year shots are going to be on the long side.
they have been hunted since sept.

I just use a Sierra 117 grain BT. It’s not a very exciting bullet but it works in the wind.

I used the 115 NBTs with great success. I also used the 120 NBT in my 6.5x55 and 140 NBT in my 7mm-08. All work great. I would like to try the new 25 cal 110 Accubond. Lou

I just can't say enough of good things about that 90 grain Sierra HP bullet. It is hugely accurate in four 25 caliber rifles I have.

For the most part I concurr . ConfusedPenciled through a coyote once with the 90gr. Sierra BTHP at 50yds. He's probably still running. The bullet was traveling at 3100 fps and you would think it should have blown the coyote apart but didn't. fishingroger

I've been using 85 grain Noslers in 6mms, they've been plenty good enough.

Curious how you know it penciled through if he is probably still running? Seems like even a .25 solid hole through the lungs would kill any coyote fairly quickly. Lots taken with 22 solids where legal.

Works just as well in the "Bob" or improved Bob.

I shot 100gr Hornady SP Flat base out of the 257 Roberts that I had. They were the most accurate bullets out of about 10 that I tried.
The only thing that I shot with it( with the exception of a couple doz. jacks that tried to attack me) was a 200 lb. Catalina goat that I shot behind shoulder at about 50yds. The hole going in was the size of a picky finger and the hole on the far side was the size of a thumb. It took two steps and went down. My load was right at 2850fps. At 25-06 speed you might need that AB bullet but at 250-3000 and 257 speed I don't thaink you can go wrong with the Hornady. PS BOY DO THOSE GOATS STINK!

+1 on the Hornady 100gr SP. Several mule deer and pronghorns. All one shot kills at ranges from 150 - 350 yards.

I shoot Sierra 117 grain SPBT's in my 257 Roberts. At 2815fps muzzle velocity they are unbelieveably accurate and work great on the Antelopes as well. Here is a picture of my buck this year.

DUH!!! My bad! Just read 25(and thought 25-06) and not the 257AI part before posting! Then I edited! But here was my reply! Big GrinWell this oughtta make it easy.............SIERRA makes both the 90HP and the 117 Spitzer Boat Tail Game King. Hornady doesn't make either of them! But before throwing the Hornady info out, look at their 120 grain HP in .257 also. It's a tried and true bullet and accuracy is pretty darn good also!
My personal favorite is the SIERRA 117SPBT ahead of either 49.0 grains of IMR 4350 or 53.1 grains of H4831sc (little more velocity over the IMR 4350 load if speed trips your trigger).............never seen too many(any 25-06's for that matter)((and the 120 HORNADY HP can be loaded the same way))that didn't like these two loads to a satisfactoy degree!! The SIERRA GAME KING is a "no frills" bullet that performs the same way everytime in a myriad of chamberings! Plain old cup and core bullet that does what it is supposed to do!! KILL STUFF!! Just my thoughts and opinion without having to spend bucks on fancy colored tipped bullets or bullets with rings around them and find accuracy and performance without a premium price!! GHD....pastor at the church of GHD and the 25-06!

Actually Abob, HORNADY makes 3 bullets in 117 grain configuration for 25 caliber junkies like us.......117 SpFlat base, 117SpBT and 117 grain Round Nose. Never shot their 117 SPBT but it's probably a pretty good copy of the SIERRA 117 Spitzer Boat Tail and would more than likely be pretty darned accurate! HOWEVER their 120 grain HP is a great bullet for whitetails or speed goats if you want to go with Hornady. Whatever is chosen, be assured it is being fired from GOD'S chosen caliber.............25-06!! Big Grin WinkGHD
