When launched at moderate velocities, the 140 grain Sierra BT spitzer GameKing is one of the tougher 6.5mm bullets around. I use it in a 26" Van Horn Encore barrel at 2812 fps (6.5x55), and it is amazingly accurate. Launched at this velocity, you get excellent weight retention and penetration.

As to the pressure/safety question: each rifle is a rule unto itself. I have a 96 that I load 47 grains of Re-22 with 140s, and it's very mild. In another, this one with a tighter chamber, 46 is the absolute max that I'd use.

I have loaded for a Sweede and prefer the 125gn or 129gn. for Texas deer and pigs. I got abour 2750+or-, using RJ19 or IMR 4350. Through trades I ended up with about 50, 140gn Sierra GKs loaded with 48gns of RL22. They were used in a Husky 38 and shot 2850. My friend said that he had no pressure signs, but it sounds hot. I got my Tweede today from the G/S. What do you think about this load in the Tweede? How tough is the 140 GK? BTW, I prefer a more frangible bullet. Thanks, capt david
