I think any Swedish mauser in that caliber is a winner. I have 3 of the M96s in 6.5x55, one of which is also from 1907, but it has the long 29" barrel. Not having seen much action in wars the rifles are usually in excellent shape to begin with. Recoil is mild and accuracy excellent. You can't hope for much more than that. The are also very strong actions. Don't be misled by some of the old wives tales to the contrary. Load them up with Lapua Scenar bullets and VihtaVouri power, and they'll bring an instant smile to your face. Best wishes.
