I've always looked on the 6.5/264s as a small/medium game, up to maybe caribu bullet. I know they kill moose in Europe with them, but face it, larger animals need a somewhat larger caliber.It seems to me that the best bullet for this is 120-125-129gn. I have settled on a 6.5x55 m98(Tweede), but considered all the 6.5s. If you want a SA go with the 6.5x284. Head to head it's equal to the 270 comparing 125-130gn partitions. Another plus is it dosent have the needless belt. my $.02, capt david

I can't really say why more people haven't embraced this fine cartridge. I'd love to own one, but price is the main thing that's holding me back. I was hoping that Remington's rereleasing the 350 & 6mm Rem Mags would help make them more affordable, but sadly not really.
