Hey guys, looking at bullets on midway, I see they ahve the silvertips, which I have never used before, in a 115g. they are coated with something though, not moly but...? does whatever that is affect the rifle? do anything to the barrel? Thanks. No, it does not. I've used them with good results although, I don't find any kind of coating needed for anything besides varminting where fast high volume shooting is a must. The coating (Lubalox) is quite easy to clean and safe on your barrel. Good Luck Reloader

Dago Red I have shot thousands of WW factory 168 gr Ballistic Silvertips with the black coating out of a 308 for many years with no problems. And I do mean thousands. They work pretty good on deer and pigs too. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
