I just finished reading an article on the 77gr. 223. Rem (5.56x45 Nato) round by Black-Hills being used in Iraq. Im interested in buying some to try. My question is.... I have a Remington 700 that has a 20in. bbl with 1in9 twist and a Smith&Wesson AR15 with a 16in. bbl also with a 1in9 twist. Can I expect any accuracy with this round? Any additional info also please.

That might be on the ragged edge with a 1 in 9 twist.

You will just have to test it in both your barrels to be sure.

If it does not shoot good in your guns try a load with Sierra 69gr bullets for distances past 300 yards, and loads with the Hornady 68gr bullet up to 300 yards.

Yes, the 1:9 may or may not work with 75 and 77 grain bullets. You will have to try it in your gun. On the other hand, if it doesn't work, the 69 grain stuff will.

1:9 will shoot the 77's just fine. I used the combo in a lot of rifle matches, don't worry about a thing.
