What is the difference between these two rounds? volume, velocity and so on.

Best regards

Yep, all of the above plus brass last longer.

Volume and velocity -- about 10 to 12%. The K-Hornet has a reputation for being more accurate, mainly because it can be effectively headspaced on the shoulder. Headspacing on the shoulder also lets you work your brass less, so, as BLH suggests, brass lasts longer.

My advice is, don't go so much for increased velocity as for accuracy with the K-Hornet. If you want velocity in a .22 centerfire go to a .223 or a .22-250 or a 5.6 x 57.

Is it worth rechambering a regular Hornet? If you can't get acceptable accuracy with the factory chamber and you want to load a significant volume of rounds, yes, probably, although the K-Hornet is not a guaranteed fix.

If you reload alot, I'd consider the k hornet. Yes, it does give a little more performance. The REAL gain is neck life. hornet cases are fragile. The change in neck angle in the k hornet allows for longer case life and easier reloading.
The 22 hornet is one heck of a round. good for the populated areas where you can't take out game with a louder 22 centerfire.
