I picked up a Sako .243 the other day and I'm looking for some info on the gun. The gun as A-II on the side of the receiver and nothing else. The gun is a blued, heavy barreled gun, barrel says imported by Stoger, and its on a wood stock.

You have a Sako Varmint that was manufactured in the 80s. Lou **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member

Thanks Lou. Don't know much about Sako guns, only that this seemed like a good deal. Guy was wanting Christmas money and looks like when its all said and done the gun only cost me, out of my pocket, $300 dollars.

you stole it ! For 300 Unless you hava desire for a .243 varmint hunting rig I would have a custom built. If you like .243 just have the barrel turned down and a restock. ...tj3006 freedom1st

I gave my brother-in-law mine, it was a .243 as sold by Browning- I will regret it the rest of my life. 300 bucks is a steal.

I'll give you $500 for it so you can go and buy a real rifle. **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member

Don't mess with it! Sell it for 1k-1400 bux and go get the model you want. I'm thinking that there are enough sako collectors out there that you could triple your money. So that you can buy some tylenol pm so that you can sleep at night!! Damn right its loaded, it makes a lousy club. -JW
