My son in law has a new 26 inch fluted barrel with 1 in 9 inch twist. With factory ammo it shoots very nicely even out to 200 yards with 55 Grain FMJ. Anyone care to share favorite reloading info? First target 405 yards 23 grains of TAC and a 77 Sierra MK in a 1 in 9 twist .223  Second one has it all to read  Would you believe that I prefer the VV 140 or VV 540 powders... I do. 27.5 varget and a 55 grain Ballistic tip shoots really well in my 223. (When I was a kid my father used to tell me that God hated a coward, I finally realized he has even less use for a fool.) | |||
