What bullet weight should group the best out of a Tikka T3 Stainless light with a 1/8 barrel? Am I correct in assuming that heavier bullets should be best?

Keep away from the Sierra Blitz ( not Blitz Kings) and from the Hornady SPSXs.. your twist is too fast for those two designs.. or they are too fragile, even at 223 speeds..

other than that, the field is pretty open..

with that twist, you can enjoy the longer range potential of the 60 grain Sierra HP, the 60 grain V Max, the 69 to 80 grain Match bullets and the 75 and 80 grain A Maxes...

I shoot those in my one in 9 twist Savage and they can extend the reach of the round by a good bit when loaded in the 2800 to 3000 fps range.. depending on bullet weight..

many powders will work well.. I have preferrences myself for IMR 4895, 4064, Varget, RL 7, 10 and 15....W 748, BLC2, H 335...

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."
