| Tom, My experience has been quite the opposite; other than the Barnes 80 grain TTSX with AA-4350 which ended up in my barrel as a complete overload IAW manuals. Way-y-y off the scale. Anything I've tried with air remaining in the case has been an accuracy Dud so far in the 25-05 Remington ...... So is life. My best efforts with all bullet weights above 90 grains (Hornady GMX which is a long-g-g for weight .257" bullet), 100 + 110 grainers (virtually any bullet) and the heavies 115, 117 & 120's have all been with H-4831 (not H-4831sc); and my perception has been load density was the ticket in my barrel (R93 Blaser barrel). Good Luck with your 110 gr. Accubonds; IIWM I'd try something that burned a tad slower than the 4350's with this bullet.
Cheers,
Number 10

| Depends on what you are hunting, how long the shot and how long is your barrel. Based on Ty's advice from Barnes, I was finally able to take my 1885 Browning Wyoming Centennial after Goats this year, in spite of its weird 1 in 13 twist. With the 80 gr TTSX in its 30" barrel I was able to get 3997 fps with "drop out extraction", using Hornady SP or Hybrid 100 V (both Hodgdon). Took my Lope at 230 yards 1/4ing away at a trot. In behind last rib on left, out right shouder. Fell on his face and kicked once. Barnes claims 3450 with this bullet in a 24" bbl w/100V. Super bullets and super powders have moved the 25-06 up a notch. |

| My Sako shoots well with 55 gr. of IMR-7828SSC and a Nosler 115 gr. Ballistic Tip for 3125 fps. I have also used it in a friend's .25-06 with good result. I would think that the 110 Nosler Accubond would behave similarly. As always, rifles vary in the way they digest powder, so approach this load from below with caution. |

| Yeah I remember the good old days when the 25-06 was still a wildcat and we had long 28-30", heavy Dougls barreled Mausers and P-17s wearing big long Unertls to slay woodchucks and feral cats away across the meadows of upstate NY. LC NM cases necked down, fill the case with 50 cent a pound surplus 4831, card it off and seat an 87 gr Sierra spitzer soft point. Velocity was 3500 or so and killing was a one shot affair. Today thinks have changed with the advent of Hornady Super Performance Powder and Hybrid 100 V. When I asked Ty how the heck could I push an 80 gr TTSX in a low extraction power 30" bbled high wall to 3997 fps, he said look at the bullet. No friction, slow twist and very advanced powders. I'd bet in a 34" barrel on a strong extracting bolt gun, 4000-4100 or more would be possible. IMHO that 80 gr TTSX would kill any medium game DOA and even a Moose or Elk for a hunter willing to wait for a clean broadside shot. Gotta love progress ! |

| H4831sc, IMR 4350 and RL-22 all work well for me. I've tried the 100gr bullet's and didn't care for them. I use the 117gr Hornady for everything in it now. |

| My success has been with 4831 (either brand) and long or short cut. I've use 100gr bullets for antelope and 110 and 115 for deer, and caribou in Quebec.
