i like the encore model. it's a single shot model but very user friendly unless your wanting to build your own gun. the encore is an excellent gun for the money and is very versitle and easy to obtain

Buy used. Get a Remington or a Winchester. Whichever feels best to you, has the nicest trigger, and looks best to your eye.

Bought a new 700 the year that Rem. came out with it as their classic cart. for the year. Stuck a 3X9 Leopold on top and have enjoyed it ever since. Loaded up some 120gr. Nos. Solid Bases which made for a hellluva combination. Several years later swapped out stocks and put a HS prescision stock on it. I haven't used it in the last four or five years after my youngest son claimed it. I think I may have lost that rifle for good. At least I know it's in good hands.
