Would like to load this bullet up for a Model 7LSS in 243.Available data appears somewhat conflicting coupounded by the fact that the pencil type barrel heats up quite readily during experimentation.I would really appreciate if someone else would share a favorite load they may of arrived at with this particular bullet as well as any performance notes related to accuracy or performance of bullet.

I recently tried them in my stainless M70 Featherweight 243 (22" bbl.). My rifle definately didn't like them (43.5 gr's H4350 with WLR primer's for 3,070). Thing is, Hornady quit making the 95 gr. SST (which is a flatbase) and replaced it with a 100 gr SST boattail so I'd skip over them as availability will be non-exsistant after a while. I tried the 95 gr Nosler B-Tip with excellent results... the groups were half the size (.75") and went 3,110 with the same charge of H4350. I'm looking forward to the 90 grain Speer DeepShok as soon as they're available.
I like the 100gr Hornady interlok boattail, 37.2grs of IMR-4320 does .5" groups and 3000fps in my Mark-X with 24" barrel. This load shoot alot flatter than the book says it should, kills deer very well.

I'm working on a load rightnow. From the Nosler #5 book, it's with IMR7828 (first time I've used the powder). My SSTs are 95gr flatbase--I sent an email to Hornady and they said they originally had a 100gr boattail (it's shown on their flyer), but replaced it with the 95gr flatbase. I've gone from 41.5gr to 45.3gr (so far) in .2gr increments. Velocities are very close to the book with 45.3gr giving 3080fps in my 24" barrel. I'll check groups on my next trip to the range. The book says 45.5 is max at 3100fps.

Steyr was told the same. For some reason said 100grainers did not want to stabilize in certain instances.Seen load data you referred to .Curious to see how results work out.Am hopeing that if time allows I can do a little experimenting today with some H4831.Surely that perfect combo must be out there.Just finding the time to weed it out can be consuming.

Steyr, that's a good piece of information. I just assumed the reverse was true and the 100 grain BT would replace the 95 gr. flatbase. I assume your information is new?.?. I must be fortunate as it sounds as if I have a fairly fast barrel being able to push the 95 gr B-Tip at 3,100 from a 22" bbl.
Brad-Yes the info is 2 weeks old--so the 95gr are the ones. I've got another batch (45.3, 45.4, & 45.5gr) ready for a trip to the range, but won't get there for another couple weeks. The 45.5gr should get me right at 3100fps.
