I looked forever for these rifles ,harder than I ever have for any guns in my life.I had about 20 of these 25-35s slip through deals and I figured I would not get one.I stayed on the phone about 40 hours and ended up with 3 25-35 trails end hunters and a 250-3000 ruger 77 mark I.I cant wait to go shoot them.I think these will be very fun guns to play with.I am going to use the 25-35 for coyotes and snowshoe hares.I might back up my girlfrind on caribou and let he try the 250 sav.

A big thumbs up there DGR!

Two excellent calibers.. I am very envious! If you ever do let them go, it will hopefully be to a good home whom will treat them with the appreciation that they deserve...

I dont know why but I have had a weird wish list of calibers:250-3000,25-35,264 win mag , 220 swift ,35 whelen.I had a 35 whelen and sold it .I have two 264 win mags love them.I had a 250-3000 in a 99 savage take down but it would not shoot over a 87 gr bullet.I also had a 25-35 savage takedown I borrowed .It had been rebored from a 219 high power.I hope this Ruger 77 in 250-3000 is a good one I have not shot it yet.I want a 264 win mag.sendero if Remington stays open long enough to sell one.I didnt buy into the wsm crowd.I might have to get another 22-250 instead of the 220 swift so I can use the same brass.I narrowed my brass down to a few cases that can be used in many guns.I could use 30-30 brass to make 375 win and 25-35 win.I can make 264 brass from 7mm rem mag brass that I get for free or .05 each from the range.I could also make my 338 win mag brass from 7mm brass if I had to.If Remington goes out of business and winchester ammo did also we will have a mess.

Hope your MkI Ruger shoots as well as mine. 75 Sierra or V-max really shines with Varget out of my old rifle. 100 flat base Hornady suprised me by also prefering the Varget. Oh well, makes powder selection simple.
Haven't had the pleasure of trying the 25-35 yet. Making do with the 25-20WCF, a pair of 250 Savage and a .257 Roberts.
