Any of you guys ever used the Sierra HPGK's in the 25's? Just wondered if they've been a worthy hunting bullet, or not? I think they come in 90 gr, and 120gr.

I have used the 90 and they are ok. I got great accuracy and very similar on game results as the 100 grain b-tips. Usually an exit, a very quick death and some pretty good bruising.

A lot of long runs are the result of premium bullets being used on deer size animals..Try a Hornady Interlock, their cheap and come 100 to the box..Save the premium bullet for larger game such as elk... If one must use a premium on deer such as an elk hunter with a tag for both in deer/elk country, Go with the Nosler partition, Its pretty soft up front and expands quickly and it will open up on deer or elk and give an exit hole in both every time. It will also penetrate lengthwise with most calibers. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
