Model 70 heavy-barrel 220 Swift, match stock with checkered steel butt-plate and parkerized barrel and action. All factory original. Have been told that only 900 were made. Definitly pre-64. It is 99% perfect!

It might have the year of manufacture stamped on the underside of the barrel in front of the receiver ring. (2 numbers, ie, "49" for 1949, etc.)

At 99% condition, you have one rare animal. Get a Winchester book or find a dealer with one to date it using serial #. A pre-war (according to my latest book) is worth $1000-1250, and a postwar is between $850-1000. If it is a featherweight Varmint in a .220 Swift we're talking closer to $1400. But no matter what the books say, it's worth whatever a guy feels like paying.
