I'm thinking one of these in a 26 in. barreled Ruger No. 1 would make a nice toy. Should make something a little different, and easy to make cases from .22-250 brass, nice long range deer/antelope killer.

I think I may be the only one here who has one.

It's an awesome round. With 41.2 grains of H-4350 and a 140 grain bullet I'm getting 2850. But that's just the low velocity accuracy node. During development 3000 fps was attained with an upper velocity node of 2935.

I have made hits at 1700 yards. .5" groups at 300, and one stellar 1.4" group at 600.

With Hornady Factory Ammo the top two places at the Sniper's Hide Cup went to the Creedmoor.

I'm having a hunting rig built in 6.5 Creedmoor with the same components as my competition rifle except the stock will be a McMillan Remington Varmint. Lots of good 6.5 hunting bullets available.

You'll never look back.

I like the looks of that, barrel life should be almost forever with one too. How long a barrel are you using? I am thinking a 26 in., maybe 28 if I stay with a No. 1 action.

It's a 26" Stainless Brux. It's in a McMillan A5 stock and has a tactical brake. For my hunting rig, I will be using the exact same set up but with the varmint stock and hunting brake.

I too have a 6/5 Creed. Shilen MG 30" stainless, blue printed BAT action on top of a glass bedded Walnut micro BR stock. It's indeed a shooter and performs well out to 600 yards. However with that said, I have the same rig in 6/5/45 Lapua which is my money maker. Other bench shooters agree that the creed is best suited for 1,2 and 300 Yd. precision while the Lapua tends to perform better down range. Another "why is the .308 so accurate" senerio but without pause it is what it is. If you are looking to use the creed for a hunting rifle, than heck yes! You'll certainly hit'em where you want! You have my vote there!

6.5X47 Lapua test loads @ 500 Yards. Concentricity and case weight were not corrected in this test run-out.
