Who shoots one? I recently found a really nice old vintage Wm.Evans in this caliber and would love to find info on where to source some brass and dies. I can find the brass in Canada, but at outrageous prices, so options would be good. My main search will be a source for the dies. By any chance anybody have any sitting around they would be willing to part with for the right price?

It is possible that you might squeeze the very slightly larger .327 Federal Magnum cases down enough to work in a .300 Rook chamber. They spec just a tad larger in diameter (and .03" longer in length), but the rim is probably okay as is and running them into a .300 Rook FL sizer might do the trick. .32 H&R brass is the same, except cases would be just a tad short, but would also work.

RCBS make bullet moulds and the dies also. Sometimes BOTH come up at Holt's Auctioneers.

I shoot a 300 Rook in a Westley Richards drop lock/ Bertram brass. 80 grn. lead, .298, 3.2 grns WW231 RP small pistol, Coal 1.410 4D for dies from Buffalo Arms in Ponderay, ID As above for 80 grn. round nose bullets. RCBS Top Punch #465 #7 Shell holder Shooting mine is a ton of fun. Very accurate. You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.
