Outside of them being illegal if you get caught killing dogs that belong to someone else, even running loose where there is a leash law, you could find yourself facing felony charges. Seeing you are asking about a silencer then you must have neighbors fairly close so there are better ways of dealing with un-wanted dogs without killing and getting crosswise of the law. Try shooting the dogs with a paintball gun or using paintballs in a sling shot. Not only does it sting the dog the dog goes home with blood red paint on the side and the owners has to clean the dog up. My cousin did this and it worked like a dream. Just can�t see going to prison over a dog(which some have done). Lawdog
