I have a Sako .222 Riihamaki Mannlicher rifle. Will the current Sako rings fit this rifle? Thanks! Jim

I stand to be corrected, but I do believe Optilocks will fit http://www.sako.fi/optilockproducts.php?basesrings as well as will Burris, Conetrol, Leupold and Redfield That has been my experience on the Riihimaki's through the 85's. Be aware that the Optilocks will probably set you back a couple Benjamins. Leupold has QR bases that will work should you want QR http://www.theriflescopestore.com/sasamafi.html not quite as expensive as the Optilocks Best GWB

The scope mounting dovetails on the "Riihimaki" or L46 sako action are the same as the current production and virtually all intervening models. There are many ringmounts and base/ring combinations which will fit it, but my strong suggestion for the trim little Riihimaki (especially in a Mannlicher) would be the Leupold ringmount. It is clean, simple, and the lightest weight (steel) ringmount for Sakos available. The Leupold ringmount comes in four heights, but I hope you will use a scope which only requires the "low" model as a small, trim scope goes best with the little action. The "lows" will accept objectives up to about 33 mm, while the "mediums" will accept objectives up to around 42mm (depending on how far forward or aft you mount the scope and whether your rifle is equipped with a rear open sight which you wish to leave in place.)

perhaps this might illustrate what Stonecreek speaks of..... and a Leupold 2.5 x 8 x 36 does not "overpower" this little jewel. Best GWB
