has anyone tried this cartridge say in a 20" barrel, say with 85 gr bullets? what kind of velocity are you getting? the reason i am asking is that i was strolling through kenny jarretts website he say with an 85 grain partition with a one in twelve twist gets you about 3400 out of a 20" barrel sounds pretty good to me, he is supposed to be the man.

Sounds about right! Depending on what you are going shoot,if for accuracy or varmints I would use something besides a partition bullet because in most cases they aren't as accurate as bullets like sierra and cost less. good Luck

probably would shoot deer there aren't many varmints around here didn't know if the 85 gr bthp would hold up to the impact at that speed, i really wish there were groundhogs and coyotes here to shoot where i live
