Question:
i have a m-70 that i dont know what to do with.
the rifle is a classic m70 longation chambered for 300 win mag. what should i chamber it to ?

since i have a few rifles like a 450 ne singleshot and a 358 Norma magnum, i could need a long range or a thumper for closer ranges with a magazine included.

Choices:
300 Weatherby
7/300 Weatherby
7mm mashburn
404 jeffrey
375 HH

I don't see where any of the choices would give you anything that your 300 Winchester doesn't give you now...Boring to a 300 Weatherby gives very little extra to a handloader....

Plus you have more punch and range covered in your 35 Norma...

I see no 'practical' changes.....that you don't have covered....

One member from Norway had one that he was loading up with 110 grain V Maxes and going out and exploding the heads of seals with.....

Maybe that will give you some use for the Winchester....

Maybe consider a switch barrel project.....

good luck,

416AR. Ask Jeffeosso. 2.5inch 416 on Jeff brass. No belt, no mods except for a new barrel. A big thumper on a standard action. Ballistics are real impressive. Not sure what else you have in your stable, a 257Weatherby or 264 Win mag will reach out and smack things along ways off. I doubt if there would be any feeding issues with any of these.
