6.5 STW data on the reloading pages of this sight has a 100gr Nosler partition @ 3883FPS. I would guess a 6.5 WSM to be around 3400-3500FPS with the same bullet. Either one would make an impressive rifle. I would guess the WSM would have an edge in accuracy and the STW would beat it in velocity. I personally would go with the WSM, It's fast enough, would (should) be easier on the barrel and take a lot less powder to load.

6.5 stw have a to short neck ,but case can be make from good case , 6.5 WSM i limited in case choice manufacture

for me th best is the 6.5/300 WEa and the6.5 Mashburn long , but with the 6.5/300 you can finf reload dies ( not custom) .

I use a mofified 264 win with 35 shoulder and tighter neck and throat that enought to push 140 bullet very fast and lighter bullet at the speed of the light

6.5x68 is anothet choice just check the throat and the abrrel pitch originl 6.5x68 is not design to shoot heavy bullet ( too slow pitch )

good shooting

Out of a 26" barrel from Lilja, I am getting 3150-3200 fps with a 140 Nosler Partition with the 6.5 WSM.
