| Accuracy-wise, I had best luck with the 75 gr Vmax using IMR 4350. I also use the 100 gr Nosler BT with Reloader 22, with excellent results.

| I use IMR4064 with the 75gr V-max with excellent results and have a good friend who swears there is no other powder for the 25-06 than Reloader-22.

| Well, in regard to the powder choice, I think you will have a lot better luck with the H 4831 than the H 380 in the 25-06. H 4831 has been an old standby powder for this cartridge for a long time now. However, in my 25-06 rifles I have pretty much standardized on IMR 4831 for bullets from 75 to 100 grains and IMR 7828 for 115 or 120 grain bullets. In regard to the 100 grain Sierra and Hornady bullets, they will work. They are little on the fragile side, but I have never seen one bounce off. My buddies used to shoot those bullets a lot in their 25-06 rifles. I have seen some deer with a lot of meat wasted, especially when shot in the shoulder. BUT, to my knowlege, they never lost a deer using those bullets. (I use the 100 grain Nosler Partition myself.) R F

| My rifle shoots the Sierra 75 HPs the best and I've had good loads with the IMR 4064. The 100 gr. bullet will shoot accurately and perform on deer. To get your best groups allow the barrel to cool between shots. You'll find it to be a nice rifle to carry for varmints and deer. |

| Speer used to make a wonderful 100 grain spitzer hollow point. The hollow point looked an awful lot like the intake on a jet engine. I used 54 or 56 grains of IMR 4831, CCI mag primers and this bullet for busting ground hogs way out there some where near next week. This bullet would blow day light all the way through the critter at what ever range I was shooting at. Jim

| You might get better results with IMR4064 or even IMR4895 with the lighter bullets in a .25-06. The slower powders like IMR4350 and IMR4831 along with Rel22 work well with the heavier bullets, but I've noticed in my Remington 700BDL in .25-06 that the faster powders are preferrable. Maybe it's just my rifle. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal
