OK I posted that I'd gotten ahold of a rem xr-100 in 204 and got a .3" group at 100. at the time my range is only 100 yds, so out to the rifle clubs range I went on saturday. Sighted it in to be about 2" high at 200. 1.5" group at 300 right on target. about 6" low with a bit under 3" at 400. not recoil, low noise, can see you hits on in the scope. Velocity like a swift, rest like a 223. whats not to like?

Well, I am sure there will be skeptics, but I witnessed this group from GHD's .204 (a completley factory Savage 12VLP with Accu-trigger). It measures .440 , and was shot off a portable bench at 500 yards. (YES it is not a typo, 500 YARDS!) I witnessed this myself, as I rode the four wheeler to retrieve the target. Simply amazing...what an amazing addition to the Groundhog Arsenal!

WOW there GHD--You da Man!!!! That is close to record book accuracy. I get groups like that at 100 yards once in awhile if I twitch the right way each time Big Grin

SF, I just hope I can repeat that kind of stuff the next time we go back to the 500 yard target!!! 3X that size would have been fine with me!!! The ""proverbial horseshoe" must have been about elbow depth up my butt!!!! But I will try again!! Big Grin Big GrinGHD

Trouble with shooting a group like that is it's likely to be all downhill from there. Good luck anyway . thumb
BTW what were the load details ?

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

BC, The load was 28.8 grains of Accurrate 2520 and the 32 grain SIERRA BlitzKing. COL was 2.392 and velocity of that load is only 4076fps. GHD
