I just finished my Savage 243 and its looking good. One of the scopes in a nikon monarch 3-9x40mm for using reduced loads that sound like a 22 long rifle. The other scope is for full loads and its a weaver grand slam 4.5-14x 40mm.
I also have a Bell and Carlson stock that is very nice, and i put a timney trigger on it that was very tuff to do. If it wasnt for my bitchen friend i wouldnt be able to get it to work well. Im very impressed with the weaver grandslam and cant wait to test it out on ground hogs in ohio this summer.

For groundhogs that's about as good as it gets.....a 25-06 might do well too but the .243 is among the best for that purpose.

Nice gun.

Nice rifle but that work bench is waaaaayyyyy to organized. You really need to work on getting some more clutter. The extra scope is just a start.............. Smiler...........DJ

That gun looks a lot better than my savage 243. When my kids outgrow the youth stock, then mine'll be pretty.
