26in Shilen SS Brl.

Have shot one group that went .118in. with 41gr.(4060fps)
None larger than .250in. BUT started blowing primers on the third reloading. So I backed up to 40gr. and am now getting about 7 reloadings.
Shots good to 700yds even in steady wind on Prairie Dogs.
Outside neck turning is a must for pressure in the 220!

Good luck
Chuck

I have a Ruger 77 (old style with tang safety). It likes 52 grain Sierra and 41.8 grains of IMR4350. Shoots half inch groups. I replaced the trigger with a Canjar single set which sure helped.

43.5 gr H414 with a 55 Sierra. 1/2 inch and 3988fps in my rifle. Lots of coyotes have died in the development of this load. As a matter of fact, I just rebarrelled to 220 Ackley Imp.

40 gr monometallic high velocity bullet with 45 gr of S341 (very similar to H335) and magnum primer. 4400fps, zeroed at 275m, 2" over the sight line at 150m. Good for plainsgame up to 250lbs out to 450m if you are up to it.

NB Hunter: My Remington 40XB-KS (27 1/4" barrel) in 220 Swift loves the following load.
22O Swift (27 1/4" bbl.): Norma cases, Federal 210M primers, 38.0 grs. of IMR 4064 and the Sierra 55 gr. Blitz bullet. This load gives me an adjusted to the muzzle velocity of 3,796 FPS. This load is very accurate and very devastating on Varmints! I have used this loading for 11 years now and have never "lost" a bullet (due to in flight disintegration). These 55 grain plain Blitz bullets (not the BlitzKings) also perform very well in one of my 22-250's. My loading log shows that the last pre-Safari sight check with this load and Rifle gave a .892" five shot group at 200 yards! Normally I do my sight checking at 100 yards but that day the wind was calm and I decided to double check the trajectory numbers at 200 yards. I have had other Swift Varminters and they seemed to also like the IMR 4064 powder. Good luck with your Swift!
Hold into the wind

Hey VG, haven't seen you post much lately on any of the varmint boards. I hope all is well up in your neck of the woods.
