Just wondering if anyone has ever put a bipod on a pump action rifle? Is this even possible? If it is possible I assume that it would mount to the barrel the same way the sling would. If this is the case what effects does this have on the shot, being mounted to the barrel instead of the stock. (I’m a right hander that shoots left. Its easiest to shoot a pump for me if taking more than one shoot.) Thanks

What rifle is it? 760 Remmington? I have a 740 Remington that I am making a bipod mount for. The screw that holds the forend on is going to be the mount point for the bipod. The forend is a wooden "tube" and is not suitable to mount a bipod. I am making a metal "cup" that replaces the sheet metal cap on the action tube and I will drill and tap it to accept a regular Uncle Mike's sling stud to mount the bipod. There is nothing I have found to just go out and purchase that will work properly. I am forced to make something work.
