Steve, I am not familiar with the Model 1060,but I can tell you that ANY model of Anschutz in 22 Hornet in good condition will bring a minimum of $700 USA cash money. If I were you I'd buy that rifle in a heartbeat. My 1432D Anschutz Hornet has been shot so much that the throat is worn out and it will STILL put five shots into a half inch of less at 100 yards from the bench. You wouldn't belive me if I told you what the groups were like when the throat was good. ------------------

Hi Steve; I have an 1156 Anschuetz in 22 Hornet. I just love it. Quality of times long past and shoots like a dream. Never no regrets, Buy it and have fun. Carl

PC, In combined shooting between my father and I since he bought it new in 1971 or so,I'd say around 5,000-6,000 rounds have been put through it.Throat shows visable wear.Could probibly rechamber to K-Hornet and clean it right up,but it still shoots 0.5 inch or less at 100 yards for five shots so I'm not going to worry about it. ![]() ------------------

Brian: As you observe, throat erosion is not necessarily a big problem for accuracy. But rechambering to K-hornet won't have any effect on cleaning up your throat erosion in your Anschutz since the two cartridges are of identical length. You could help this by setting the barrel back, but you may not be able to set it back enought to rid yourself of the eroded segment. Anyway, as long as you're shooting under a half inch, why worry?

Stonecreek, Yes,you are correct.Didn't stop and think that they were both the same length. I'm not going to worry,it's still super accurate but sporting rifle standards. It's been semi-retired now anyway for the last year or two. ------------------

Hi Its a mod 1430 not a 1060 as i said before. its in excellent condition. I tried it out today and it put 5 shots into about .5 to .7 of an inch at 100 meters i was suprised with the accuracy. so it seems i got a nice accurate rifle. Steve.

Hi steve. My 1450 in 22 LR is the only 22 I've owned that is worth sighting in at 100 meters. Great little gun. - Dan

I was fortunate enough to bring back a few Anschutz's from when I lived in Bermany. I consider myself a .22 Hornet nut and brought back 3 more to go with my other 4. I have a manlicher stocked 1433, and 1416 with double set triggers and one of my personal favorites, and Exemplar pistol in .22 Hornet. I love using them to dispell the myth that the .22 Hornet is in-accurate.
